Our Story
2011
Established in 2011, IBS was primarily envisioned as the shared services center of the Lopez Group with the goal of maximizing the utilization of its resources and improving service delivery. Since then, IBS has steadily provided services to support the “Lights-On” business process and IT requirements of The Group such that the member companies can focus more on their core business objectives and mission-critical initiatives.
2015-2017
Building IBS’s Strategy on Shareable Resources
IBS was formed with sustainability in mind. It centralized and conserves resources required for the services provided. Each company under the group has the same core requirements for finance and accounting, HR, and IT. Through shareable resources, IBS is able to centralize investments, talent, and efforts needed by each company for the same core requirements.
2018-2021
The Shared Services Journey
IBS has embarked on the shared service journey in partnership with its clients. In 2019, IBS began to establish its shared platforms for IT, which included service desk, networks, end user support, and endpoint management. From these common requirements, IBS then provided business solutions which guided its clients through pathways of consolidation, standardization, automation, analytics, and digitization.
With the radical changes occurring in global businesses in recent years, IBS stood in a unique position to support and enable the group in adapting to the emerging demands of the different businesses.
Forging Collaborative Pathways: Creating Collaborative Spaces
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to the workplace created an inflection point towards adopting shared services for FPH and its subsidiaries. The pandemic provided an opportunity for IBS to create collaborative pathways. A collaborative space emerged for IBS to work with their clients on how to help them adapt to the new normal - so employees can continue their work, companies can still employ their people, and they can still serve their customers even in those trying times.
Working with the new normal.
IBS set out to accelerate the infrastructure and processes needed to adapt to the new normal, since the company has already been working towards work from home enablement prior to the pandemic. IBS supported its clients in the transition by providing secured access to the systems wherever the employees are located, as well as providing remote support when needed. The move towards digitalization and automation were expedited. While it has already been in place, IBS had to intensify IT security. IBSI ramped up a new team to focus just mainly on security.
2023 - Onwards
Our place in the collaborative space is basically for our clients to think of us as their own IT. IBSI wants to work with the client [and their own IT team] collaboratively, to map out a strategy that will deliver the value and address their pain points.
As it passes its inflection point, IBS straightens its course towards innovation and excellence powered by a digital transformation strategy in the coming years. IBS will also continue to collaborate with clients on digitalization requirements to leverage on shareable resources.
The company rallies its people, process, and technology towards this goal for the future, ensuring that IBS will be there to rise up to the challenge of its shared journey with the Lopez Group, FPH and their subsidiaries and other clients.
